The word “geodesy” comes from the Ancient Greek word geodaisia, which literally means “division of earth”. I find this to be the most intriguing science. This science uses discernment of many natural phenomenons to determine the shape and landscape of the earth. Basically, this science tells us what the earth looks like without taking a picture of it or seeing it directly.
